Features & Applications:
The Ligno-Scanner SD is calibrated to measure thinner and thicker boards. Ideal when working with different thickness of wood or taking readings at different depth levels to compare surface or core moisture. The ¼” measuring depth works great for stacked veneer and when checking waterborne finishes between applications. The ¾” measuring depth is great for hardwood floor installers, inspectors and cabinetmakers because it can be used on finished products where it will leave no pin holes.
This meter has a unique feature that includes 71 species settings or specific gravity settings 0.3-1.0. Lignomat’s pinless meter also gives moisture readings in percent moisture content. There is an additional reference scale when measuring non-wood building materials that can be used for comparative readings.
Here are just some applications where the Ligno-Scanner SD works great:
- Checking waterborne finishes between applications (1/4” )
- Measuring thin boards and veneers
- Measuring the top layer of engineered floors
- Measuring boards or floor planks ( 3/4")
- Checking the extent of water damage to a floor
